Meet at 10:30am at St Peters Church in Newton for easy (approximately 41⁄2 miles) linear walk and cafe stop. This will be a sociable stroll across the common to the cafe known as Rose Hip and Vintage, previously known as the Wildflower cafe. All on the flat, can be wet underfoot if the weather has been poor in the previous week. Return to cars approximately 1.30 to 2.00pm.

Sunday 15th July, CAIO
Message from Rob Johnston
“Sorry to inconvenience you.  I am unable to do the Bryn Moel route this Sunday and wish to change it to Caio.
The meeting place at Cross Hands remains the same at 08.45, however the
secondary meeting place will be at Caio at 09.45. ( Grid Reference
SN6747 3984) The walk is 10 miles.”

Directions: Head North-east out of Llanwrtyd Wells on A483 to Beulah then take B4358 to Troedrhiwdalar. Via Bryn Moel, Bryn Ceinon and Cwmfadog. A strenuous 14 mile walk.

 Meet at 10:00am at the entrance of the off road parking area just before the Quarry on Barland Common, Bishopston for approximately two hour walk via Blackhills. May still be wet underfoot. Appropriate footwear essential.

Saturday 28th July, BACK OF RHOSSILI DOWN 
Meet 10:00am at Llangennith Church (GR 429915) for 4 hours exploration of farmsteads east of the Down unseen from the highway and accessible only by foot.

Sunday 29th July, TALYBONT & CARN PICA
Meet at 8:30am between Guildhall & Victoria Park (GR SS 643 923) or 9:45am Talybont Reservoir Dam (on-street parking). Lat, Long: 51.876, -3.304 (GR SO 103 205).
A scenic walk starting with a strenuous 560m ascent from Talybont Reservoir to Carn Pica and Waun Rydd. Then along the Graig Fan Las escarpment with great views before heading downhill. We then ascend Pant y Creigiau to return along the opposite side of the reservoir. A strenuous 12 mile walk with a 2600ft (800m) ascent.

Sunday 12th August, PLYNLIMON/PUMLUMON
(Joint with Swansea Ramblers)
Meet at 8:15am Cross Hands: Heol Parc Mawr (near Leekes car park) (GR SN 568 128) or 10:15am Hafren Forest Visitor Centre SY18 6PT, Lat/Lon 52.468, -3.683 (GR SN 857 869).
Directions: North on A40/A470/B4518 to Llanidloes then cross river to join Penygreen Road and follow minor roads to Hafren Forest – see Google map: https:// goo.gl/maps/LLxTZKZGHqJ2
A forestry and hill walk that will take us to the source of the Rivers Wye and Severn. N.B. Be prepared for a long day out! A strenuous 12 mile walk.

Meet at 10:45am at Pennard School/ Library car park, GR SS 554883 for 8 mile moderate walk. It is possible to travel by Nr 14 bus from Swansea (9.49 from bus station) – due
to arrive at 10.30am, but please check timetable nearer the date. A scenic stroll along Pennard Cliffs, stopping at Pobbles beach and Pennard castle. Then on to Penmaen Church, Green Cwm and Parkmill. There are two steep climbs but the views are worth it.

A steep climb out of Glyntawe to Waun Fignen Felin and on to Bwlch Giedd. Then follow the ridge above the lakes before descending to Llyn y Fan Fach and returning along the Beacons Way below the Carmarthen Fans. A strenuous 14 mile walk.

Saturday 1st September, LLETHRID TO UPPER KILLAY
Meet at 10:30am by the Upper Killay bus stop (but check the NATS bus timetablefirst) to catch the 10.43 bus to LlethridBridge for an 8 mile walk via Green Cwm, Ilston, and Three Crosses back to Killay. If coming by bus the 119 departs Swansea bus station at 10:20 so remain on bus till Llethrid. Bring your bus pass.

Saturday 8th September, MY FAVOURITE WALK 
Meet at 10:30am at Rhossili Car Park (fee payable), GR SS 414 880 for a 5 mile circuit from the car park out to the Coastwatch lookout, along the coastal path via Fall Bay (pausing for coffee) and Mewslade returning via Pitton Farm and Rhossili Down (picnic lunch at The Beacon). A leisurely walk to enjoy the views.

A walk west of Narberth along paths and country lanes, taking in Llawhaden Castle, Blackpool Bridge and Mill then returning along the Knights Way through Canaston Woods. A moderate 12 mile walk.

Wednesday 12th September, WHITEFORD LIGHTHOUSE 
Meet at 1:00pm at Cwm Ivy car park (honesty box), GR SS 439935, for a 5 mile walk to the lighthouse. High tides are at 0856 BST and 2112, so we will be at the lighthouse for a September spring low. Bring walking boots and binoculars. Wind can be cutting even in early autumn.

Meet at 10:00am Reynoldston: on the road near the King Arthur Hotel (NOT on drive to hotel) (GR SS 482 899).
A skip along Cefn Bryn and up over Ryers Down, Llanmadoc Hill, Harding’s andRhossili Down, with loads of fine views.Return along the Gower Way. A strenuous 12 mile walk.
