Catch the Heart of Wales train from Swansea at 9.15am or Gowerton at 9.26am (later stations could be busy. This is the last week of the concessionary travel so bring your bus pass.  If under 60, groups of 4 or more can buy a group day return).  A moderate 7mile walk from Llandovery through woodlands and valleys to Myddfai where hot drinks can be bought – but bring a packed lunch.  Return by a different route in time for tea at the Llandovery Station café and the 4.36pm train home.  Check train details nearer the date but don’t use the Heart of Wales website, it is often out of date.
