Saturday, 2nd March.CYNGHORDY TO LLANDOVERY
Catch the 9:15am Heart of Wales train from Swansea High station (but check times first and see note below) or join the train anywhere – the leaders will be joining at Gowerton or Pontarddulais.  Ask for a return ticket to Cynghordy.  A moderate 8m/13km walk, ascending out of the valley to walk along a ridge with good distant views.  Approx. 4 ½hrs walking, with time for tea in Llandovery before catching the train at about 4.30pm.  There should be no charge if you have a Welsh bus pass. Note: as Arriva will no longer be running this service there is no guarantee that current arrangements will remain. If so we will meet at Llandovery rail station at 10:15am.

On 2nd March there will be engineering work on the railway line between Swansea and Llanelli. A replacement bus will leave from outside High Street station at 8.54am and Gowerton station at 9.11am. The Heart of Wales train from Llanelli will run as normal so it could be easier to go direct to Llanelli station (departs 9.34) or to one of the later stations e.g. Pontardulais at 9.47.
The return journey also involves a change at Llanelli and should arrive back about 10 min later than scheduled.
